Building on 50 Years: Leading PRSA Las Vegas Into Its Next Chapter

As PRSA Las Vegas moves from celebrating 50 years into what comes next, I find myself feeling incredibly grateful.

This community has given me so much, professionally and personally, and stepping into the role of President in 2026 feels less like a title and more like an opportunity to give back to something that has shaped me.

PRSA, at its core, is about relationships. It’s about leadership development, professional growth and elevating the public relations profession, but it’s also about people showing up for one another. Whether you attend an event, volunteer your time to speak with PR students, submit an entry for the Pinnacle Awards, share your perspective as a thought leader or serve in a board leadership role, your involvement—at every level—is what keeps PRSA Las Vegas strong.

We are better when we are together and when we operate as a true community.

As we set the course for 2026, my goal is to sustain the momentum of our 50th anniversary while continuing to strengthen the sense of connection, learning and leadership that defines this chapter. That means continuing to offer meaningful in-person programming, professional and personal development opportunities, and spaces to connect across industries, experience levels and career stages.

Most importantly, it means leading with openness.

I want PRSA Las Vegas to feel like a place where members feel comfortable reaching out, sharing ideas, asking questions and learning from one another. I am eager to connect, listen and grow alongside this community.

Looking back, my PRSA journey began as a student, where I first experienced what it meant to learn alongside peers who cared deeply about the profession at Grand Valley State University’s PRSSA Chapter and West Michigan PRSA. When I moved to Las Vegas in 2019, PRSA Las Vegas became that same kind of space for me—a third place, a home away from home, and a community where I felt both challenged and supported. It’s an honor to now help lead this chapter forward.

Through PRSA, I’ve built lasting relationships, learned from colleagues across disciplines and career stages, and found a community where the profession, and the people behind it, are genuinely understood. Creating space for that kind of connection and growth is something I value deeply and hope to continue strengthening for our members.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to PRSA Las Vegas over the past 50 years and to those who continue to invest their time, energy and expertise today. I’m excited for what’s ahead—and grateful to be a small part of this next chapter.
